During the week ending April 26, Nigeria experienced significant violence, resulting in the deaths of at least 37 civilians across eight states. Among the fatalities were 18 farmers killed in Borno, six individuals who lost their lives in separate farm attacks in Taraba, and five victims from a raid in another region. In response to the ongoing security challenges, Nigerian security forces reportedly eliminated 50 terrorists during this period, aiming to curb the rising tide of violence and protect vulnerable communities. The incidents occurred despite efforts to maintain peace during the Holy Season of Easter.
