The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has confirmed that discussions are ongoing with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State. Abdulmumin Abdulsalam, the NDC Deputy Publicity Secretary, stated that these talks are part of broader political realignments in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections. He indicated that both Obi and Kwankwaso are expected to join the NDC, with the party considering offering them the presidential ticket.
