The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to adopt consensus candidates for all elective positions in the upcoming 2027 general elections, thereby eliminating contests in various constituencies. This decision was announced by Governor Francis Nwifuru following a stakeholders’ consultative meeting in Abakaliki. The governor characterized the consensus approach as the result of thorough discussions and engagements among party members, emphasizing unity and collaboration within the party.
