On Saturday, the Richard Akinnola Foundation commemorated its anniversary at the Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, where it distributed N3.8 million to widows of journalists. During the event, beneficiaries also received renewals for their annual health insurance. Richard Akinnola, the founder of the foundation, highlighted that this financial support is part of the organization's two primary annual initiatives aimed at assisting the families of deceased journalists. He further noted that the foundation offers various forms of assistance that are often overlooked.
