Opeoluwa Runsewe, the Founder and CEO of Terroso Group, emphasized that Nigeria's food crisis stems from inadequate preservation methods rather than issues related to production. During a virtual press conference focused on post-harvest losses, he highlighted that the country experiences significant food waste, with losses estimated at 30 percent due to insufficient cold chain infrastructure. Runsewe advocated for increased investment in cold chain technology and agro-industrialization to mitigate these losses and enhance food security in Nigeria.
