Osaze Odemwingie, a former international footballer for Nigeria, has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to cease its efforts in persuading players of Nigerian descent who were born abroad to join the Super Eagles. He emphasized that the NFF's current approach, which includes reaching out to players such as Michael Kayode, Tosin Adarabioyo, Caleb Okoli, and Kingsley Ehizibue, is not conducive to building a strong national team. Odemwingie believes that players should have a genuine desire to represent Nigeria rather than being coaxed into participation.
