Public commentator Mahdi Shehu has expressed concerns regarding the internal divisions among Nigeria's opposition political parties, suggesting that such disunity could jeopardize their chances in the upcoming 2027 elections. In a statement posted on his verified X account, Shehu highlighted that personal ambitions and a lack of cooperation among leaders of parties including the PDP, LP, ADC, NDC, and PRP are detrimental to their collective strength. He cautioned that these issues may inadvertently aid the ruling APC in securing victory in the next electoral cycle.
