Namibia has successfully repaid its remaining outstanding credit to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), achieving a debt-free status as of late April 2026. As of March 31, 2026, the country had an outstanding balance of SDR 23.89 million, which is approximately $23.8 to $23.9 million USD based on recent exchange rates. Records from the IMF indicate that the repayment was completed within the period of April 1 to April 29, 2026, marking a significant milestone in Namibia's financial management and obligations to international creditors.
