In response to a suspected kidnap threat letter discovered in Anwar Hali village, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigerian Army troops have intensified security measures in the region. The alert was raised by local residents around 11:45 a.m. on May 1, prompting immediate action from troops under Sector 7, Sub-Sector 75. The letter, written in Hausa, included two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and a contact number purportedly belonging to the kidnappers. Security sources indicated that troops have initiated contact with the provided number as part of their investigation, while also enhancing surveillance and patrols to ensure the safety of the community and prevent any potential attacks.
