Sebastian Coe, the President of World Athletics, has emphasized the organization's strict policy regarding athletes who wish to change their national representation. During the World Relays event held in Botswana, Coe stated that any attempts to switch national allegiance motivated solely by financial gain will be firmly rejected. He highlighted recent cases involving athletes from Jamaica, Kenya, and Nigeria, including sprinter Favour Ofili, who sought to compete for Turkey, reaffirming the governing body's commitment to maintaining integrity in athletics.
