Team Nigeria has successfully qualified for two additional events at the upcoming World Championships in Beijing, China, following their performance on the final day of the 2026 World Athletics Relays held in Botswana. The Nigerian team secured spots in both the Mixed 4×400m and the women’s 4×100m relay categories. The Mixed 4×400m team, consisting of athletes Samson Nathaniel, Taiwo Kudoro, Chidi Okezie, and Patience Okon-George, demonstrated a strong performance to clinch their qualification. This achievement adds to Nigeria's representation at the global athletics event.
