Nigeria has emphasized the need for fairness and equity in the transition to net-zero emissions in international shipping, particularly for developing countries. Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, articulated this position during the 84th session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 84) of the International Maritime Organization.
