Reuben Abati, a veteran journalist and former presidential spokesman, commended Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso for their decision to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). During an appearance on The Morning Show on Arise Television, Abati highlighted that this move was made in light of uncertainties surrounding the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which they had previously been affiliated with. He noted the legal challenges facing the ADC, including key issues being referred to the Federal High Court, which raised concerns about the party's viability. Following their formal induction into the NDC on Sunday, where they received their membership cards in Abuja, both politicians were welcomed by NDC national leader Seriake Dickson and other officials, amidst a gathering of enthusiastic supporters.
