Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, has characterized the ongoing internal crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a self-inflicted issue. During an interview on Arise Television, he highlighted that the party's failure to address critical matters such as zoning, consensus, and direct primaries has contributed to its current weakened state, particularly following the recent departure of prominent members Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). Amadi noted that many individuals have raised concerns regarding the ADC's formation and foundational clarity, which he believes are central to the party's challenges.
