Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, indicated on Monday that Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, both former presidential candidates, might consider leaving the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar decides to join the party. Ahmad expressed this view in a post on X, suggesting that the presence of Atiku would pose a significant challenge for Obi and Kwankwaso in a primary election scenario. He implied that the two politicians would seek alternative political affiliations rather than compete against Atiku within the NDC.
