Japa: Prioritise nurses’ employment, NANNM tells FG

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives-Federal Health Institutions Sector has called on the Federal Government to prioritize the recruitment of additional nursing staff to address the significant workforce shortages resulting from the ongoing brain drain. The association highlighted that the migration of nurses and midwives is exacerbating existing staff shortages, which in turn is contributing to increased burnout among the remaining healthcare professionals. They emphasized the urgent need for strategic employment initiatives to ensure adequate staffing levels in the healthcare system.
