Chelsea teenager Jesse Derry was hospitalized for precautionary evaluations following a head injury sustained during the team's 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday night. The 18-year-old forward, who was making his debut in the top flight for Chelsea, collided with Nottingham Forest defender Zach Abbott in the penalty area shortly before the half-time whistle. Medical staff attended to Derry on the field before he was transported to the hospital for further assessment. The club is expected to provide updates on his condition in due course.
