Ondo NDC Chooses Leaders, Decries Suppression of Opposition

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ondo State convened its inaugural congress in Akure on Monday, where it successfully elected its state executive council. During the event, party officials expressed concerns regarding what they described as attempts to suppress opposition voices in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. Notably, the congress resulted in the election of a former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to a key position within the new executive council. The NDC emphasized the importance of a vibrant democratic process and the need for fair competition among political parties.
