The Sokoto State Government, in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Sight savers, has initiated a partnership with media outlets to enhance public awareness and support for vaccination against tetanus and the distribution of azithromycin throughout the state. During a media orientation and sensitization meeting, Mr. Kamaru Gada, the Director of Advocacy at the Sokoto State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (SSPHCDA), emphasized the importance of sustained media engagement in promoting these health initiatives. The partnership aims to increase vaccination rates and ensure that the azithromycin drug reaches those in need, thereby improving public health outcomes in the region.
