The Osun State Branch Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, ESV Olusola Jibril Adebiyi, has emphasized the need for legislative measures to address the issue of land grabbing, commonly referred to as "Omo onile," in the state. During a recent interaction with journalists, Adebiyi highlighted the detrimental impact of land grabbers on property ownership and development in the region. He urged the government to take immediate action to protect landowners and ensure the enforcement of laws that would deter such illegal activities. The call for intervention comes as the institution seeks to promote a more secure and regulated land tenure system in Osun.
