The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a fine of N6 million on Warri Wolves following incidents of violent conduct during their recent match against Plateau United in Ozoro. In addition to the financial penalty, the league has mandated that Warri Wolves conduct their remaining home matches behind closed doors for the remainder of the season. The NPFL stated that the club did not ensure adequate security measures during the match, which contributed to the disturbances.
