Primary and secondary schools in Amasiri, located in the Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have resumed operations following a four-month curfew that was enforced by the state government. The curfew was implemented due to violent conflicts between the Akpoha and Okprojo communities in the Afikpo and Edda Local Government areas, which resulted in the tragic beheading of four individuals. The lifting of the curfew allows students to return to their educational institutions and resume their studies after a prolonged period of disruption. Local authorities have expressed hopes that the reopening of schools will contribute to restoring normalcy in the community.
