Ahmad Saidu, a supporter of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has clarified his actions during a recent political event in Zaria, where he held the Speaker's attire in an attempt to seek assistance for his medical condition. Saidu, who has been suffering from a serious fracture in his right hand, explained that financial constraints have hindered his ability to continue treatment after initial support ceased. He expressed regret for the incident, stating that he did not intend to embarrass the Speaker and emphasized his appreciation for the Speaker's previous assistance to others. Saidu's father, Malam Sa’idu-Ibrahim Abubakar, also apologized to the Speaker and noted that political adversaries have misrepresented the situation, while commending the Speaker for agreeing to cover his son's medical expenses despite the circumstances.
