Cameroon Education Cluster: Annual Operational Presence and Realization (Jan-Mar 2026)

From January to March 2026, the Education Cluster in Cameroon, supported by various organizations including Save the Children and UNICEF, focused on providing educational assistance to the most affected individuals in the North West and South West Regions. Initially identifying 505,170 individuals in need, the cluster reprioritized its target to 190,119 persons, comprising 187,120 children and 2,999 teachers. During this period, 16 partners implemented educational activities across 12 divisions, reaching a total of 70,089 individuals, predominantly children, with 4% of those being persons with disabilities. Additionally, the cluster reported eight attacks on educational facilities, primarily in the North West Region, which included incidents of kidnappings and arbitrary arrests affecting 25 individuals.
