From January to March 2026, the Child Protection Area of Responsibility (AoR) in Cameroon engaged 17 partners to implement child protection activities across 11 of the 13 Divisions in the North West and South West regions. A total of 16,689 individuals were reached, including 10,450 children, with a notable focus on mental health and psychosocial support, benefiting 101,925 children and caregivers. Key achievements included enhancing awareness of civil documentation rights, with 9,602 individuals improving their understanding of the registration process, and 85 obtaining birth certificates. Additionally, 8,592 individuals received training on preventing violence and exploitation, emphasizing community awareness and safe reporting mechanisms.
