Kazeem Oyewale, the acting chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Osun State, has publicly refuted allegations of attempting to assassinate Adebayo Adeleke, the son of the state governor, known as B-Red. In a statement following remarks by Osun State Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, who claimed that B-Red narrowly escaped an assassination attempt linked to Oyewale, the NURTW leader described the accusations as unfounded and politically motivated. During an interview in Osogbo, Oyewale expressed his intention to seek legal action against the government and called for protection from President Bola Tinubu and the Inspector-General of Police, citing threats to his safety and referencing the unresolved murder of his younger brother. He urged his supporters to remain steadfast, asserting that the allegations against him are part of a broader campaign to discredit him and his organization.
