The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed an appeal against a recent judgment that ordered it to pay N100 million in defamation damages to the Department of State Services (DSS). SERAP contends that the ruling is a "travesty and miscarriage of justice," asserting that it is both legally and procedurally flawed. In addition to the appeal, SERAP is also seeking a stay of execution on the judgment pending the outcome of the appeal process.
