Hajj: 3 Jigawa pilgrims lose cash, valuables to theft in Saudi Arabia

Three pilgrims from Jigawa State, who are currently in Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj, have reported incidents of theft involving cash and personal valuables. Among the victims is Baba Katanga, an elderly Fulani pilgrim from Katanga village in Kiyawa Local Government Area, who stated that he lost 400 US dollars after boarding a bus. The other two incidents involved different pilgrims, although specific details regarding their losses have not been disclosed. Local authorities have been alerted to the thefts, and investigations are ongoing to address the situation.
