The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Kaduna State University (KASU) has announced intentions to initiate a strike if their welfare demands are not addressed by the end of May 2026. Dr. Usman Sadiq, a representative from the ASUU media committee, highlighted that numerous requests related to staff welfare have remained unfulfilled for an extended period. The union's leadership is urging the university administration to take immediate action to resolve these issues to avoid disruption of academic activities.
