The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) reported a loss of approximately 180 megawatts of power due to energy theft by large customers. This information was shared by NISO's Managing Director, Abdu Mohammed Bello, during a stakeholders' meeting that included distribution companies, generation companies, and large customers linked to the Ikorodu-Sagamu 132kV double-circuit transmission lines. The meeting aimed to address the ongoing challenges of power theft and its impact on the national grid's efficiency and reliability.
