The House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has upheld the disqualification of aspirants associated with Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Out of the 98 aspirants who underwent the screening process, 33 were approved while 65 were disqualified, with the latter group identified as loyalists of the governor. Abdul Mahmud, the committee chairman, announced that 19 appeals have been filed by some of the disqualified candidates, with the deadline for submissions set for Wednesday. The committee indicated that the final list of approved aspirants will be published following the conclusion of the appeals process.
