Petrol consumption in Nigeria increased by eight percent in April 2026, reaching 51.1 million litres per day, as reported by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). This figure marks a rise from the 47.3 million litres consumed daily in March 2026. The NMDPRA's fact sheet, released on Tuesday, indicated that the demand for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has shown a significant upward trend during this period.
