Titus Amba, the President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), has raised concerns regarding the Federal Government's decision to waive the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) requirement for candidates seeking admission into Colleges of Education. His remarks were made during the 21st Century Teachers Workshop, which was held in collaboration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Amba emphasized the implications of this policy change on the quality of education and the standards of teacher training in the country.
