A significant fire outbreak occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at the Mandate Market in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, resulting in the destruction of 24 shops. The incident was reported by Hassan Adekunle, the spokesman for the state fire service, who indicated that the fire started around 04:44 hours. The market, which consists of over 200 shops, was severely affected, with emergency services responding to contain the blaze. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing as authorities assess the extent of the damage.
