The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU) have officially launched a financing facility designed to enhance financial access for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Montenegro. This initiative aims to enable local banks to increase their lending capabilities to these underserved businesses significantly. The facility operates on a portfolio risk sharing (PRS) model, which is expected to facilitate greater investment and support the growth of the MSME sector in the region.
