Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has announced a ban on night mining and underage grazing following his visit to the Nding community in the Barkin Ladi local government area, where a recent attack resulted in multiple fatalities and significant distress among local families. The governor convened a security stakeholders’ meeting at Gwol Motel, which included participation from religious leaders, traditional rulers, youth representatives, and various community stakeholders representing different ethnic groups. The meeting aimed to address the security challenges facing the region and to implement measures to prevent further violence.
