AY Makun, widely recognized as AY, has shared insights regarding the final moments of the late Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo. According to reports, Ekubo passed away in a Lagos hospital on May 11, 2026, following a prolonged struggle with stage four liver cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2024. Despite the severity of his illness, AY noted that Ekubo maintained a positive demeanor, even in his last moments. The actor had previously undergone a liver transplant as part of his treatment.
