The National Universities Commission (NUC) has entered into a $65 million performance contract with six universities in Nigeria, in collaboration with the World Bank. This agreement is designed to enhance procurement processes, as well as environmental and social governance standards across the country's higher education institutions. The initiative aims to improve the overall operational effectiveness and accountability of the selected universities, thereby contributing to the advancement of the educational sector in Nigeria.
