President Bola Tinubu announced that piracy incidents have been eradicated in Nigerian waters, attributing this success to ongoing investments in maritime security through the Deep Blue Project. This initiative has established an integrated network comprising intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets, which include command-and-control centers, special mission vessels, fast intervention boats, and aerial platforms. The President emphasized that these measures have significantly enhanced the safety of maritime operations in the region.
