Médecins Sans Frontières, commonly known as Doctors Without Borders, has reported that over 440,000 children have received treatment for malnutrition in Nigeria. The organization highlighted significant concerns regarding the deteriorating state of malnutrition, ongoing disease outbreaks, and persistent challenges in maternal healthcare, as detailed in its 2025 Country Activity Report released in Abuja. Factors such as increasing food insecurity, conflict, inflation, flooding, displacement, and inadequate healthcare systems are contributing to the vulnerability of millions of Nigerians.
