‘N26.9bn can’t be missing from N7.5bn allocation’ – NCAPT faults SERAP on USPF

The Northern Coalition for Accountability and Public Trust (NCAPT) has challenged the assertions made by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) regarding a purported ₦26.9 billion discrepancy in the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF). NCAPT emphasized that such a significant amount could not be unaccounted for given the fund's allocation of ₦7.5 billion. SERAP had previously urged President Bola Tinubu to initiate an immediate investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds. The NCAPT's response highlights the need for clarity and accuracy in financial reporting related to public funds.
