A collaborative effort between the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) at the Tin Can Island Port Command and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has resulted in the interception of a significant shipment of Cannabis Indica. The operation uncovered 8,347 packages weighing a total of 4,173.5 kilograms, with an estimated street value of N16.6 billion. This seizure follows closely on the heels of another successful operation by the agencies, which had previously intercepted 9,450 packages of the same substance just two weeks earlier. The ongoing efforts by NCS and NDLEA highlight the agencies' commitment to combating drug trafficking in Nigeria.
