Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has officially launched a flood and erosion control project valued at ₦29.69 billion. The initiative aims to implement stabilization and channelization works extending from Tsohon Kamfani to Gwallagan Mayaka within the Bauchi metropolis. The groundbreaking ceremony for this significant project was conducted as part of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) program, which is supported by the World Bank. This project is expected to enhance the region's resilience to flooding and improve overall environmental management.
