The National Universities Commission (NUC) has finalized a funding agreement worth $65 million with the World Bank, aimed at enhancing governance standards and expanding specialized training within Nigerian universities. This agreement, part of the Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project, was officially signed on Wednesday at the NUC headquarters in Abuja. The signing ceremony was attended by various vice-chancellors from universities across the country, highlighting the collaborative effort to improve educational standards in Nigeria.
