The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has announced the launch of the Green Finance Investment Facility (GFiF), a blended finance platform aimed at attracting significant private and institutional investments into renewable energy infrastructure in Nigeria. This initiative will facilitate the financing of 191 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity, with a total fund of $188 million. The GFiF is designed to enhance the deployment of distributed renewable energy solutions, thereby contributing to the country's energy access goals and sustainability efforts.
