Health stakeholders in Ogun State have emphasized the necessity of incorporating Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) into the Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Safe Termination of Pregnancy (SToP) guidelines. They highlighted the ongoing neglect faced by women with disabilities, which has resulted in severe health complications and, in some cases, fatalities due to unsafe abortion practices. The group, consisting of community representatives and health advocates, urged for immediate action to ensure that the needs of PWDs are adequately addressed in health policies and programs.
