Mustapha Abdullahi, the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, has refuted claims of his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in connection with an alleged ₦500 billion fraud. In a statement released by his Media Aide, Abdulrasaq Danjuma, Abdullahi clarified that he merely attended an invitation from the EFCC and was not taken into custody. The statement aims to correct misinformation circulating in the media regarding the circumstances of his engagement with the agency.
