NEDC, groups to tackle desertification issues in Yobe

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has initiated collaborative efforts with various environmental and security organizations to combat desertification and protect development initiatives in Yobe State. This partnership was established following recent courtesy visits from the Sahara Restoration Drive Project (SRDP) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to the NEDC office in Damaturu. The discussions focused on strategies to mitigate the impacts of desertification and ensure the sustainability of ongoing projects in the region.
