Seven individuals have been apprehended for engaging in illegal gold mining activities in residential areas of Minna, the capital of Niger State. The arrests occurred at an unauthorized mining site located behind Bilkebab in the Shango area. The operation was conducted by officials from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, under the leadership of Commissioner Mohammed Qasim Danjuma, who coordinated with security personnel to carry out the arrests. The suspects are now facing legal action for their involvement in these illicit activities.
