Syria remains entrenched in a humanitarian crisis, particularly in Deir ez-Zor, where years of conflict have severely impacted infrastructure and livelihoods. In response to the pressing needs of returnees, displaced individuals, and host communities, Acted is launching a 12-month early recovery project, supported by the Centre de Crise et de Soutien (CDCS). The initiative aims to restore essential services, including the rehabilitation of shelters and water infrastructure, while also revitalizing agricultural value chains through targeted support for local businesses and farmers. By addressing interconnected challenges such as water scarcity and damaged irrigation systems, the project seeks to enhance local resilience and promote sustainable recovery in one of Syria's critical rural areas.
